Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured. We carry a two million dollar liability policy as well as workers compensation policy to insure that our workers are covered.

Are you licensed?

You actually do not need a license for general tree care operations. We do however have certified arborists on staff to perform quality control on each job.

Do we need to get permits?

Typically permits are not required. There are however some situations that may need one. Our knowledgeable staff will inform you if one is needed during your free consultation.

Do you offer free quotes?

We do offer free quotes/consultations to go over any work that may be needed.

How long have you been in business? How much experience do you have?

We are coming up on our second year in business. Our staff however has decades of experience in the industry. Being a small, local company allows us to offer extremely affordable pricing compared to our larger competitors while greatly exceeding the quality of work that they can offer.

If a tree needs to be taken down, will my property be safe?

There are many reasons why a tree might be in decline. Some diseases are treatable while others or not. There are also many conditions such as drought or soil compaction that can be causing undue stress on a tree. It is best to have one of our certified arborist assess the tree and present you with the best plan of action to save it.

What is a certified arborist?

A certified arborist is somebody who has gone through documented training & passed an exam that demonstrates proof of knowledge. Our company treats this credential as a baseline and pushes our employees to greatly exceed this certification.

Are you experienced with native trees?

Yes, we are experienced with native trees as well as many species that are not native to Ohio.

Why is it important to prune my trees?

Pruning trees in an urban environment is crucial to the future health of the tree. There are many other benefits such as lowering the amount of deadwood produced, greatly reducing the risk of tree failure, routinely inspecting the tree for hazards & diseases, and making the tree aesthetically pleasing. If improper pruning practices are performed, none of these benefits are achieved. Rather, it can severely damage the tree and cause it to be a hazard in the future.

I am worried a tree is too close to my property and may fall in a storm, can you give me a risk assessment?

Risk assessment is always addressed during our free consultations. We try to provide our customers with as much information as possible to allow them to make an educated decision to best meet their goals.

I think my tree is dead, should I have you take it down?

If a tree is dead, it should be removed as soon as possible. If left, it becomes much more hazardous to perform the removal process.

I think my tree is dying, can you save it?

Do you grind stumps?

We do grind stumps. We also remove all of the excess stump grindings from this process instead of leaving you with a large mound of debris to deal with.

Will you remove fallen trees and all the debris?

We do offer a service for cleaning up fallen trees and removing all debris.

Can I keep the fallen trees for firewood/lumber?

Some trees are worth keeping for firewood while others or not. It is best decided on a case by case basis after talking to one of our certified arborists.

Do you do clearing?

We do offer land clearing services.

Do I need to be home when the estimate is given?

We generally try to set up an appointment to provide free quotes. It allows us to go over detailed parameters of the work and address any possible concerns. Alternatively, we can email a quote over for signature and bring up any abnormalities that we may have come across.

What season is best for tree service?

We offer our services year round. It depends on what type of service that is being provided, but generally most services can be performed during any season.

Can you plant trees for me?

All of our tree planting is referred to a couple of trusted contractors that we work with.

Do I need fertilization and mulch?

Fertilization and mulch can usually help a tree. However, if done improperly it can cause severe damage to your tree. Ask us about it during a free consultation!
